Before you call an automatic gate done, run it and break the photo eye beam while it's moving. Then touch the safety edges on a cycle too. The gate has to stop or reverse every single time, and if it doesn't, it's not ready to hand over.

𝗙𝗥𝗘𝗘 𝗙𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗘 𝗧𝗜𝗣: 𝗦𝗮𝗴𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗲? 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲.

A wood gate brace has to run diagonally from the bottom corner on the hinge side up to the top corner on the latch side. That pushes the gate's weight down into the bottom hinge instead of letting the latch side drop. Put it in backwards and the gate will sag no matter how good the hinges are.

When you pour concrete around a wood post, don't leave the top flat or below grade. Trowel it into a crown that slopes down and away from the post, so rain runs off instead of pooling against the wood. Posts almost always rot right at ground line, and shedding that water is one of the easiest ways to make them last.
