Today is the perfect day to thin out the garden before winter. The rain yesterday helps with removing the plants. I am taking out the Canadian goldenrod that self seeded in the bed. I am also thinning out the asters as they die back. The colors of the flowering dogwood are amazing. Chirps is enjoying a spent goldenrod. I hope you all get the chance to enjoy this gorgeous fall day!

Jess is heading out of town for a few days for some much needed down time but she captured these really “cool” shots in the nursery before she left. Hope that little guy has warmed up by now!
Hours this week and the remainder of Oct are Saturday and Sunday 9-3.

Fall is tender, fall is delicate. Tread lightly on the land this season friends & keep you eyes open, many tiny creatures are gearing up for great migrations, and big slumbers.

And for goodness sake, keep those leaves in your garden & save those cleanups for spring.
