Today I painted this ex large hutch. It was Sheri's mother in laws

She chose the color Eucalyptus. A soft sage green and wanted the top of the buffet sanded and stained. This nice rich dark chocolate.
The contrast is dramatic !

Why paint ?

*The piece is sentimental
* update style and color
* save it from the dump
*becomes a gorgeous statement piecs

What a pleasure it was working with Alisa and Tony and there vintage kitchen table .
This set is heavy duty and solid and the bones are great along with the tile but the bottom of the table and chairs were wearing out

No need to throw this set out ..Just needed to be sanded down a little and repainted ..and layered with polyurethane
The upholstered chairs were cleaned

Here are the before and after pics .let me know what you think
