Quick shout-out to our friend for referring us to their grandpa for a pretty unique window replacement down in Mahtomedi!
This one definitely came with a few challenges. The window was roughly 13’ wide × 10’ tall, weighed around 800 lbs., and sat 20–30 feet in the air.
Our original plan was to bring in a lift to help with the removal and installation, but once we got there, we realized getting the lift into position would likely cause more damage to the surrounding property than it was worth.
Plan B: pump jacks! They may have been working a little harder than usual on this one 😂, but everything went smoothly and we were able to get the job done safely.
Our other option would have been bringing in a crane to lift the window up and over the house, so we were pretty happy we were able to make this setup work!
The new window also eliminated the old grids, and what a difference it made—the view is much cleaner and more open now!
