Kanapaha Botanical Gardens Fall festival in Gainesville is a one day event this year. Make sure to come out on Saturday Oct 17th to get your Food Forest favorites. Plenty of varieties of both Persimmons and Mulberries. These are must haves for our area if you don't already have some. If you do, you need more!!! Hope to see you Saturday.

Saturday September 26th from 9am-4pm we'll be at Wesley Wells Farms Pumpkin Festival in St. Augustine. Always a great time here. The weather looks perfect for putting new plants and trees in your Food Forest. Come out and see us. We will not be at The Haile Market in Gainesville tomorrow but will be back next Saturday.

Edible Candles update: The Scrubland Farmz Edible Candles are on hold until we get all our food permit paperwork finished up. I jumped the gun just a little expecting things to be finished up by now. Until then everyone that buys $100 worth of plants/trees will get a free edible candle. There's way too many for us to eat but we're trying. This offer is good while supplies last. This Saturday we will be at Wesley Wells Farms ( 2680 Ada Arnold Rd., St. Augustine, FL 32092) from 9-4pm for their Pumpkin Festival w/ all the area appropriate edible medicinal plants and trees. We will not be at the Haile Market in Gainesville this Saturday. I told a few of you last Saturday we would be there in Gainesville but I was completely wrong. Sincere apologies for any inconveniences. Check out Wesley Wells Farm for ticket information.
We will have Shanon's Edible Candles available. Supplies are limited.

Saturday - The Haile Market in Gainesville from 8:30-12pm.

Sunday- St Augustine Farmers Market at the Classic Car Museum from 9-1pm. Over 95 vendors will be there with us.

It's going to be a Mulberry and Fig weekend plus all the usual and unusual food forest favorites.

For those that have been following us for a few years now, I had to share. Shanon has finally finished her immunotherapy for extrapulmanary small cell cancer!!! She has been getting clean scans for over a year now but has needed to keep up with the treatments just to be certain it was put back into dormancy. Yesterday was her final day. She is a warrior and my hero. It's been a difficult road with what she has endured but she has won. Thanks so much to all of you that have sent out the prayers and good vibes. All were heard, felt and sincerely appreciated.
