The member-owners of Do it Best Group are leaders in the independent retail industry, with their success being measured not just by what they’ve built, but by the legacy they leave behind.

On September 12, retired former owner of Lumber King, Bill Singleton, received the J.C. & Azalie Egnew Lifetime Achievement Award from the McCreary County Heritage Foundation at an event in Whitley City, with his contributions being highlighted by former representative of Kentucky’s 15th district in the State Senate, Chris Girdler.

Bill’s story of service to the industry and his community reflects the strong foundation our member-owners set for the next group of leaders, and we are proud to celebrate this well-deserved honor for him and Lumber King.
