Forest Lakes Nursery

Specializing in rare and unusual conifers and perennials, we have been part of the Humboldt County community for over 20 years. Open by appointment only.

Forest Lakes Nursery is one of the premiere sources for unique plants, be they conifers, perennials, or groundcovers. We don't grow anything we don't personally like.

This is my favorite conifer. It is called 'Kohut's Ice Breaker'. It is a dwarf Korean fir (abies koreana) discovred as a witches broom on a 'Hortsmanns Silberlocke'.
It is the showiest plant in my garden.
The photos are of a 4 year old in my Japanese garden.
