And that’s a wrap on the 2026 flower season!

The cooler nights are here, the days are getting shorter, and the field is telling me it’s time to call it a season.

Thank you so much to everyone who bought flowers, stopped by the stand, placed an order, shared a post, or simply followed along this year. I’m always so grateful that I get to grow flowers here on Fox Island and send them out into our community.

Now it’s time to put the field to bed, dig dahlias, plant bulbs, and start dreaming about next year. 💛

Ugh. Theft. 😒

I’ve made the difficult decision to close the self-serve stand for the rest of the season.

Unfortunately, over the past few weekends, a significant portion of my inventory has disappeared without payment. There is a lot of work that goes into those bouquets and bunches before they ever make it to the stand. Growing, harvesting, conditioning, arranging and stocking them all takes time, and I’m also a mom of four fitting this flower business into the rest of our very full life. I love doing it, but life’s too busy to risk burning out over repeated theft.

The good news is that I’m not done with flowers for the season! The field is still producing, and I’ll continue taking orders for bouquets and seasonal bunches as long as the flowers keep coming. If you’d like flowers, just send me a message and I’ll let you know what’s available.

I’m incredibly grateful for all of you who have stopped at the stand, shared my flowers with friends and supported this little business. The overwhelming majority of you are wonderful, and I don’t want the actions of a few people to overshadow that. 💛

A few favorites heading to the flower stand this weekend. 🌸

The dahlias are putting on quite a show, and there are still so many beautiful blooms coming out of the garden.

The stand will be open Friday–Sunday for a few more weekends before we close up for the season. Come grab some flowers while you still can! 💜

Yas Queen! 👑

The Queen series zinnias are showing off right now, and I am here for it. Buttercream, blush, raspberry, lime, and all those beautifully weird in-between shades. 😍

Freshly cut Queen zinnias will be making their way into bouquets and bunches at the flower stand this weekend!

The field is FULL and so is my schedule.

I’ve decided to spend one of the last few days of summer break with my kids instead of making bouquets, so this weekend we’re doing something a little different at the flower stand:

Build Your Own Bouquets!

I’ll fill the stand with buckets of freshly cut flowers at different price points. Pick your favorites, mix and match, and make a bouquet that’s completely your own. 💐

A very happy accident. 🌸

Some snapdragons went uncut a little too long and passed their prime for selling. The upside? I get to keep them.

These beauties are one of my favorite flowers to have all on their own in a vase. No arranging, no fillers, no greenery needed. Just a big armful of color.

There are definitely worse problems to have. 💕

There’s always a quiet pause in the garden between spring and summer.

The ranunculus, tulips, and other spring blooms are beginning to fade while the annuals stretch toward their season. Until the summer flowers fully arrive, the flower stand will be a bit more simple and pared back, though I hope to keep consistent offerings available throughout.

Thank you for following along with the natural rhythm of the farm. The lush season is just around the corner. 🌸

In the meantime, dahlia tubers are still available at the stand and online for local pickup if you’re feeling inspired to grow a little summer beauty of your own. 🌱
