Major overhaul of my garlic bed...Storm damage in August caused tree branches to come down and destroy my galic raised bed...Purchased Land Guard Metal Raised Garden Bed from Amazon...As easy to assemble as our windmill last year...measured 6' x 3' x 1'...completed filling with dirt & compost, did a garlic soak in fertilizer, planted the garlic & covered with chopped leaves as a mulch...until next year...

Getting our pond ready for fall & winter...installing netting to keep falling leaves out of the water...heater & bubbler also set up, will pull out pump at a latter date...fish hibernate over winter, pond is 4 feet deep...

WE ARE OFFICIALLY CLOSED FOR THE SEASON...

We are already making plans for next year...we are excited about some new plants we will have...we are preparing the nursery now, then rest for a couple months until April...Outback Garden Growers Nursery will be reopening MOTHERS DAY WEEKEND, 2027...

Earlier in the month I posted pictures of a Monarch caterpillar on my Swamp Milkweed plants...and he was gone...later I found his chrysalis while watering, yesterday I found the chrysalis empty, never seen him after that...Hope he makes the flight to Mexico...

After Wednesdays storm, checked plants in our nursery...Found this Monarch caterpillar on our Swamp Milkweed plant...Don't know where he went after that, but he had a meal off the leaves...And we had to cancel our Appreciation Party because of conditions as a result of the storms...Also if you need any branches cleared or trees trimed, we highly recommend Joshua at Black Kat Tree Care.
