Bonsai is a wonderful art and rare for the Nashville or Middle TN area. It’s fun to come see the Bonsai even if you’re not purchasing. Because they are art after all.

🌳🐈 Not your average redbud! Meet ‘Alley Cat.’

If you love our native Eastern Redbuds but want something a little more unexpected, this one deserves your attention!

Eastern Redbud ‘Alley Cat’ (Cercis canadensis) is a unique cultivar of a tree native right here in Tennessee, and it has a few tricks up its sleeve.

🌸 In early spring, its branches burst into beautiful rosy-pink blooms before the leaves emerge.

🌿 But the real showstopper comes next! Its heart-shaped green leaves are splashed and speckled with creamy white variegation, creating a striking display that lasts throughout the growing season.

This small ornamental tree brings beautiful texture, color, and personality to the landscape, even when it’s not in bloom.

Who says cacti are just for the desert?

We have TWO varieties of Tennessee-grown, cold-hardy prickly pear in the garden center right now, and both are right at home in our growing zone!

🌵 Texas Prickly Pear – Bold, sculptural, and full of personality. This North American native brings a little Southwestern flair to your Tennessee landscape.

🌵 Eastern Prickly Pear – Native right here in Tennessee! This hardy little cactus tends to grow lower to the ground, spreading into beautiful clusters of prickly pads with cheerful yellow blooms.

Both love full sun, excellent drainage, and can handle our winter temperatures. They’re fantastic options for rock gardens, dry spots, or anyone looking to add something a little unexpected to their landscape.

🦋🍂 Fall flowers aren’t just for us, they’re fueling some very important journeys!

As temperatures cool and the seasons change, many of our pollinators are preparing for winter. Monarch butterflies are making their incredible migration south, while bees and other beneficial insects are busy gathering the last available nectar and pollen.

That’s where your fall garden comes in! 🌸

🍂 Fall color doesn’t have to live in shades of red, orange, and gold.

These fresh Little Lime hydrangeas are giving us all the cozy autumn feels with blooms shifting into dreamy shades of apricot, blush, and soft chartreuse. And the show isn’t over—as temperatures continue to drop, those colors will deepen and become even richer.

If your version of fall leans a little softer, moodier, and less traditional, Little Lime might be exactly what your garden needs. 🌿🩷

🐝💜 It’s ASTER season!

If your summer beds are looking a little tired, asters are here to bring them back to life. Their masses of colorful blooms add a much-needed refresh to the fall garden—and the pollinators absolutely LOVE them.

Not exactly an insect person? Hear us out! Creating a pollinator-friendly section of your garden gives bees, butterflies, and other beneficial insects a reliable place to find the food they’re looking for. You may be surprised how much you enjoy watching all the activity from a comfortable distance. 🦋

🌸 Temperatures are finally starting to cool down, and our pansies are just beginning to show their colorful little faces!

We know it’s tempting, but we HIGHLY recommend waiting until temperatures are consistently staying in the 70s before putting them in the ground. A little patience now will give them a much better start for the season ahead. 🌼
