🌱 "To seed or not to seed, that is the question..." 🌱

Fall is the best time to overseed existing lawns, with cooler nights and milder days that give the best conditions for germination. The new grass will establish a solid root system before the heat🔥of summer returns. Reseeding can cover a dormant lawn like Bermuda or can be done to refresh an existing (and tired) lawn.

Cut the existing lawn shorter than normal, de-thatch if necessary ("combing" out the patches of old dead grass) and apply the seed with a spreader. You can rake grass to settle seed into the gaps in the grass. Some prefer to apply a light layer of compost, and watering💦should be more often until the new grass sprouts. (approx. two weeks)
