While it's too early to know exactly what we'll see with Tropical Depression 2, having a backup power plan in place before a storm is always the better option — not after watches and warnings are issued.

We install trusted Generac and Kohler generators, as well as portable generator inlet setups. We use only licensed trades, pull all required permits, and stand behind our work every step of the way.

Don't wait until everyone else is calling. If you’ve been on the fence, take this as your sign to prepare now.

9 AM Monday Tropical Update
Tropical Depression Two remains a lopsided system with wind shear pushing most of the storms over the Gulf waters in the southern half of the circulation. There is a lot of dry air swirling around the center, so only slow strengthening is expected at this time.

That said, new storms are firing near the center, which means this could soon get the upgrade to Tropical Storm Bertha as Hurricane Hunters fly multiple missions through the storm today. The one I’m most interested in will occur this evening with a special plane equipped with a tail Doppler radar that will give us greater insight into the storm structure. When this data is fed into our computer models, it increases the accuracy in track and intensity by a notable percentage.

There are now two main scenarios on the table. The consensus scenario from computer models is that the circulation will move into southeast Louisiana on Wednesday night and fall apart. Under that scenario, the moisture would still head westward into Southeast Texas and bring us some rain Thursday and possibly Friday. The other scenario is that the storm stalls just offshore or near Grand Isle, Louisiana, and then pivots west or southwest towards Texas as a stronger system. Under that scenario, we would have more significant wind and water impacts along the Texas coastline Thursday through Saturday. This is the more unlikely scenario at this time, but because it’s still very early in the development stages when uncertainty remain remains high, we cannot completely discount it.

We should have a new track forecast out from the national hurricane Center by 10 AM with their latest thinking, and our team will keep you updated 24/7 as needed throughout this week as we figure out what impacts, if any, we will have from future Bertha.

Nothing humbles you faster than watching a middle schooler dodge, duck, dip, dive, and dodge like a pro 😄

Proud to support our hometown Friendswood Junior High at their 6th Annual Dodgeball Tournament—where the competition is fierce, the aim is questionable, and the students clearly have a future in professional dodgeball (if that’s a thing).

Great event and great hometown crowd. Already looking forward to next year!!

Choose from our selection of reliable Generac whole home generators to keep your home powered during outages.

❄️ The Euro Long-Range Models Are Talking… Are You Listening? ❄️
As you can see, the latest Euro models are showing light grey along the Gulf Coast again this year—and no, that isn’t fog… it’s potential for ice/snow to return this winter. And when Houston gets snow or ice, we all know what happens next. ⚠️❄️

If you’ve been considering a whole-home generator or a portable inlet so you’re not stuck in the cold during another outage, take this as your sign.

🔥 Now is the BEST time to get prepared:
✔️ Shorter wait times
✔️ Fully stocked inventory
✔️ Faster installation windows
✔️ Peace of mind before the first freeze

Don’t wait until the power is already out. Text or call us at 832-404-5599 for a custom quote or answers to any questions you have.
