Most homeowners think a rebate is something you apply for after the work is finished.
In Maryland it usually runs the other way around. The energy audit comes first. It documents what your home is actually doing before anything gets installed, and that record is what the rebate is written against later.
Why the order matters:
β’ The audit establishes the starting condition, and there is no way to recreate it once the insulation is in
β’ The paperwork has to match the scope of work that actually gets installed, line for line
β’ Program rules and deadlines shift, so a submission that was fine last year can get kicked back this year
None of that is something you should have to keep track of. We run the audit, scope the work, and file the rebate paperwork ourselves.
If you have been putting off insulation because the rebate side looked like a hassle, that part is ours.
