If something goes wrong, will they make it right?
Here's something I think most homeowners understand . . .
They don't expect every remodeling project to go perfectly.
Things happen.
Something gets damaged. A product comes in wrong.
A subcontractor makes a mistake.
Something behind a wall turns out to be different than expected.
Homeowners know that.
What they're really trying to figure out is what you'll do when something DOES go wrong.
Will you own the problem . . . or make excuses?
Will you tell them about it . . . or hope they don't notice?
Will you fix it without making them fight you over it?
And maybe most importantly . . .
Will you still answer the phone after you've been paid?
Because here's the thing . . .
The problem isn't always what costs you their trust. Sometimes it's how you handle the problem.
In fact, handling a problem the right way can sometimes build more trust than if the problem had never happened at all.
You showed them that when things got uncomfortable . . . you kept your word and stood behind your work.
And that's what homeowners are really looking for.
Bless This Home LLC thinks about the questions homeowners are trying to answer before they choose a remodeler:
Can I trust these people in my home?
Do they really do this type of work?
Will they communicate with me?
Will they actually show up?
If something goes wrong, will they make it right?
Here's what ties all five together:
Homeowners are looking for reasons to feel comfortable choosing you before they've ever had the opportunity to experience how good your work really is.
