That's actually a useful clue.

If water only appears underneath the cabinet while the sink is draining, the leak may be coming from the drain assembly or one of the drainage connections rather than a pressurized water line.

And if a full sink dumps enough water through that connection, a tiny drip can suddenly become a pretty good puddle.
