It's spooky season, and one of our favorite parts of October is definitely the trick-or-treating and the candy. If you've ever been into Abt, you know we've got a sweet tooth satisfied only in our Candy Store by our latest Employee Spotlight, Amanda Dukala.
Amanda has been the smiling face behind the counter for years. She's helped guide this magical space season after season. Whether you're looking for heaping scoops of chocolate-covered gummy bears or candy bars from yesteryear, Amanda keeps The Candy Store decked out with everything you need for a quick pick-me-up on your shopping trip.
While she loves running The Candy Store, it's not where she started. Amanda began her time at Abt over ten years ago on our Customer Service team. "The goal is always to try and find a solution that makes people happy," she shares. "I learned a lot from customer service, but when I heard we were going to start a candy store, I volunteered!"
For Amanda, it truly is all about the smiles. Whether she's helping children pick out their favorite gummies or laughing with older folks about vintage treats, her goal remains exactly the same: making people happy.
If you've never met Amanda, now is a great time to visit. Her space is all decked out with decor for Halloween. Next time you're shopping for an appliance, tech, or furniture, head to The Candy Store to grab a little something sweet.
