š§ļø Arizona Monsoon Season Is Here ā Please Stay Safe! āļø
Heavy rain, strong winds, and possible flooding are moving through our communities. We encourage everyone to stay alert, stay home if you can, and never drive through flooded roadways or washes. It only takes a small amount of moving water to become life-threatening.
If youāre in an area thatās prone to flooding, Gila County has sandbags available to help protect your home. Donāt wait until the water starts risingātake advantage of the resources available and prepare now.
Here are a few HVAC safety tips during the storm:
ā” If your outdoor AC unit becomes submerged in floodwater, do not turn it back on. Have it inspected by a qualified technician first.
š¬ļø Once the storm has passed, check your outdoor unit for branches, leaves, mud, and other debris that may block airflow. Always shut the power off before cleaning around the unit.
š§ If you notice water leaking around your indoor equipment, ceiling vents, or furnace/air handler, turn the system off and call for service. Water and electricity are a dangerous combination.
ā ļø After a power outage, give your system a few minutes before turning the thermostat back on to help protect it from power surges.
š If you smell something burning, hear unusual noises, or your system isnāt operating normally after the storm, shut it off and have it inspected.
ā¤ļø Most importantly, our community comes first. If you or your family need help during these stormsāwhether itās moving belongings, checking on your home, or something elseāplease donāt hesitate to reach out. We canāt promise weāll be able to solve every problem, but weāll do everything we can to help or connect you with someone who can.
From all of us at Just-In-Time Heating & Cooling, please stay safe, look out for your neighbors, and letās get through these storms together.
š If your HVAC system is damaged after the storm, give us a call once itās safe. Weāll be here and ready to help.
