Heart L Homestead

We are a small homestead in the Texas Hill Country, growing alotta love! Our children make 7 generations of my husband's family in this town, which is amazing.

Heart L Homestead is located in the heart of the hill country in lower Palo Pinto County in Texas. My husband Chase, and two kids, Konnar and Lily, and myself all live on 5 acres in the small town of Gordon, Texas. I, however, have lived all over the US. My family traveled a lot and never really stayed in one place, which allows lots of learning experiences at a very young age! Both my husband and I grew up in the Rodeo/Cowboy culture and love it. We want to instill this culture in our children and teach them to work! We have chickens and a very large, beautiful garden. My husband is the Chicken Man and I am the Garden Lady! We have enjoyed this journey together and plan to grow our Homestead with many more animals and loads more plants! I hope you enjoy and come along with us on this journey!

We have a huge flock of ducks looking for a new flock! We had a super prolific year (unintended) and had 16 baby ducks! We have decided to get out of the ducks completely. We have a mixture of several breeds and the babies are mixtures of the various breeds.

Pure Breeds include:
Cayuga
Pekin
Rowan
Swedish Blue
Black Indian Runner
Fawn & White Runner

The baby ducks are a mixture of those various breeds.

They were all free range up until we penned them a week ago.
