🍂 Your fall planter should have a little staying power.

We’re not just designing for the day it’s planted—we’re thinking about what it will look like weeks from now, too. 🌿

That means choosing plants with different bloom and color timelines, building in layers of texture, and adding outdoor-grade accents that can hold up as the season changes.

Because the best fall planters don’t just look beautiful when they’re installed… they keep giving you something to enjoy. 🤎

That’s the Perfect Pots approach to fall plantings that last.

🌿 Think a shady porch means you have to settle for a boring planter? Think again! 🍂

Some of our favorite fall containers are designed for the shade—and creating them takes a little more know-how than simply picking plants that tolerate low light.

Our designers consider light levels, plant habits, color, texture, and how each variety will perform as the season gets cooler. The result? Layered, interesting containers that bring plenty of fall color and personality to even the shadiest spaces. 🍁

Covered porches, north-facing entries, shady urban streets...there are so many beautiful possibilities!

In our Classic Fall Planter, mums are just the beginning! 🍂 🌿

This recipe brings together a mix of frost-tolerant plants, textures, colors, and shapes to create a full, layered fall container that will keep looking beautiful as the season gets cooler. ❄️🪴

We love a good mum, but there are SO many other plants that can bring fall color and interest to your porch. The key is choosing varieties that can handle those chilly fall temperatures and combining them in a way that gives your planter plenty of texture and dimension.

Save this reel for your next trip to the Perfect Pots Greenhouse, where our team can help you create your own beautiful fall container! 🍂✨
