What. A. Ride!! Fryeburg Fair ‘26 has come and gone and yet again it filled me to the brim with such gratitude and appreciation for the people in my corner! The amount of love, congratulations on my babe, gifts, hugs, purchases and support was unmatched! I walked away with two record breaking sales days this week! Like what! Me?? My art??
So, from the deepest core in my body, in which words will never be enough, THANK YOU for the greatest week I’ve ever had with my little bug business 🪲

no mouths to eat and no digestive systems!
(because well….you can’t eat)

My wooden frames can never be recreated by technology robots who don’t even have hands!

✨They are hand built by a local woodworker using unfinished pine.
Once I get my actual human hands on them they are stained, the glass is cut, glued in and left to dry. ⚡️
🌙 The magic begins of creating the display with no plan or expectation.
Finished off with metal corner embellishments and a sawtooth hook on the back.
Voila!! ✨

In order to create the depth, I need to chip away the edges of the glass in order to fit a bamboo strip of wood around the entire inside.
The chipping = the blood. I’ll do a tutorial sometime!

4 years of freedom from the corporate rat race •

There have been long days, slow seasons, doubts, failures, and plenty of moments where I wondered if I was completely insane for doing this! (Answer is yes)

But there’s also been incredible opportunities, amazing people, friendships built, creative freedom, and the ability to wake up every day and make something that exists because I imagined it in my wee little brain first.

Four years of making my art for a living. Four years of building something that’s completely my own and four years of choosing freedom over comfort.

I’m incredibly grateful for every person who has supported my little corner of the weird and wonderful world — every purchase, share, like, kind word, and conversation has helped make this life possible.

Here’s to 4 years of betting on myself… 🪲🖤 happy anniversary

We’re making room for a new bug babe 💛
The first day of spring, 2027

Stepping into the unknown not only with a new baby but with my art and my income has me feeling all the feels, anxious & nervous especially!

I can’t guarantee I’ll be around as much but I can promise I’ll be attending all of my major events in 2027 as well as keeping my website stocked and having pieces available through IG.

I’ll always be your Bug Lady… or is it Bug Mama now? 🪲

I’m so excited for this next chapter of my life as it’s been a long time in the works and will be my most important project yet!

2026 will remain as it is, you just might see me moving at more of a snails pace 🐌
