Callicarpa americana - American Beautyberry is starting to show off its berries!
✨ amazing native plant!
📏 3-8’ tall and 3-6’ wide
☀️ full sun to part shade
🌸 pale pink/lavender flowers in the summer
🫐 purple berries in the fall
🍃 deciduous
✨ great for pollinator gardens. Fruit is edible, I personally like making a jalapeño-beautyberry jam! And the leaves produce a chemical that can help repel mosquitos!
