Design and construction can appear infinitely complex to even those most familiar with the process. This past month we welcomed a new staff member to the team! Meet Nolan Lopez, Construction Administrator. Nolan has a background in managing projects across several industries including oil and gas, commercial, and medical construction. He is excited to manage the wide variety of projects for the communities and clients that LPW partners with.

Outside of work, Nolan enjoys spending quality time with his family in the outdoors or traveling. They are foodies and love trying local cuisine while traveling around the country. Other hobbies he enjoys include archery hunting, fishing, camping, rockhounding and coaching youth sports his children participate in. Nolan also enjoys entertaining friends and family at his home. Taco parties are common, and his homemade tortillas are world renowned. His number one joy is raising two amazing children, Liliana (11) and Von (6), with his wife Jackie. He says watching Lili and Von grow into strong, smart, independent people is second to none.

We're excited to have Nolan on the team (and try these tortillas he tells us about)! Please join us in welcoming him to LPW!

At Gateway Wellness Center in Livingston, the interior spaces are taking shape! Luxury vinyl plank and rubber flooring are being installed, while painting continues throughout the facility. Drywall work as well as the ACT ceiling grid are now complete. Basketball hoops and lockers are in place, and work continues in the pool areas as they prepare for tile and plaster.

The Big Sky Dental renovation transformed an outdated, constrained office into a bright, modern, and welcoming environment. The redesigned layout maximizes existing square footage, expands each treatment room, improves workflow and ergonomics, and brings in more natural light through larger windows.

Benefis North Tower has a new look since this building underwent a complete exterior renovation! The renovation included the installation of new ACM cladding and a vertical band of brick, as well as extending brick that is on the 2000's era concourse onto the original North Tower band. This extension of brick makes the existing concourse's facade blend cohesively with the newly renovated North Tower. This renovation also included the replacement of nearly 300 windows and new facade lighting that wraps around the top of the tower and down the center of the North facade, highlighting the beautiful building at night.

The construction progress photos from Gateway Wellness Center keep getting better! The building exterior and site are nearing completion, along with interior drywall, tile and paint. The pools are being prepped for tile and plaster, and the pool and mechanical equipment installation has begun. In the coming weeks we'll be seeing ceiling grid installation, basketball hoop installation, and the walking track floor!

We love seeing this facility come together in Livingston!

The Polson Middle School and High School buildings are just about ready to open their doors and welcome kids back to school next week! After a big construction push over the summer, the finishing touches are being put in place. We’re excited to see these spaces transition from construction sites into bustling hallways, classrooms, and gathering spaces filled with students and staff.

Back-to-school month is a great time to reflect on LPW's education projects that helped to build our community!

In the 1960s, we had the opportunity to create the plans for C.M. Russell High School in Great Falls. It's fascinating to look at these foam models and hand-drawn 3D perspectives that brought the vision for a new high school to life. These modeling and drawing techniques have not gotten much practice recently (unfortunately - or fortunately, depending on how you look at it!) with how much 3D modeling software has advanced.

Decades later, CMR continues to be an important part of our community, welcoming generations of students through its doors. We’re proud to have played a role in Great Falls history through this project, and even prouder to see the building continue to serve students and educators today and for generations to come.

Here’s to another great school year!
