Sometimes there's a plan....and sometimes I just lay out some supplies and see what happens.🙃

Somewhere in that pile of fabric, felt leaves, ribbon and a whole lot of “hmmm…what can I do with this?” was a fall pillow waiting to happen. 🍂

When I was asked to contribute to our internal campaign, I instantly knew I would be going down the rabbit hole....and I love how it turned out!

This lil cutie became part of our Fall Basket Raffle and officially found its new home today! And yes…of course I made our lucky winner pose with the pillow! 😆

Going from a pile of possibilities to a finished piece is one of my favorite parts of creating. You don't always have to know exactly where you're going when you start…sometimes you just have to go down the rabbit hole and see where it takes you. ✨️🐇🕳

I have absolutely no idea what's about to happen... but just know I'll be down the rabbit hole if ya need me. 🙃🐇🕳

If you've followed my work for a while, you may have noticed a familiar lighthouse quietly sitting in the background of many of my finished pieces.

There's a reason for that.

My Grandmother loved lighthouses. The lighthouse in my photos is actually a puzzle my Aunt put together, inspired by Thomas Kinkade's A Light in the Storm.

When I photograph my work here, even the blur is intentional. I want the focus to remain on what I've created, while leaving just enough of the lighthouse visible in the background.

️It's my quiet salute to my Grandmother. ❤️

Creativity runs deep in my family, and this is one of the little ways I keep that legacy close while I'm creating.

I hope my children grow up seeing their Mom create, take chances and have the confidence to keep going—and carry a little of that creativity with them too. ❤️

So the next time you see that lighthouse behind something I've made, just know you're seeing more than a backdrop.

You're seeing a little piece of where I come from…and a legacy I hope to keep moving forward. ✨️

By night? Organized chaos. 😂

I always start my projects with a plan...but somewhere along the way, “Wait 👀...what if I did THIS instead?” takes over.

And before I know it, I'm winging it and the original plan has about a 30% survival rate!

By day: follow the plan.
By night: the plan was merely a suggestion. 🙃

🐇 Okayyy…time for the REVEAL! 👀😂

I have to give Carinne her props! 👏🏾😂 She had a GOOD eye and guessed the stovetop covers! Butttt…there was a whole lot more going on down this rabbit hole. 👀

This whole thing started because I needed a new organizer for my bathroom. I thought about buying one, but then that little crafty voice in my head said…

“Girl, you can MAKE one!” 😂

And just like that…down the rabbit hole I went!
🐇🕳️

So what did I use?

✨ Stovetop covers
✨ Empty seasoning bottles — weighted with pebbles for a sturdy base
✨ Peel-and-stick wall backsplash
✨ A small glass that was hand-painted by me 🎨
✨ Spray paint
✨ And of course…a lil bling! 💎

I pulled everything from my craft stash, started putting pieces together, and my new bathroom organizer was born!

And y’all… this entire project only cost me $2! 😯 I already had everything else on hand!

THIS is why I’m always looking at random things thinking, “Hmmm…I could do something with that.”

Sometimes you don't need something new—you just need to look at what you already have a little differently. ✨️
