So proud to be part of this one on a beautiful fall day!
This historic farm property on Goose Lane in Guilford is getting a second life, and we've enjoyed working closely with the owners and construction team to get it right. Our goal has been to preserve what makes the original farmhouse special while enhancing its details, performance, and durability so it can be appreciated for another 200 years.
The cedar shingle roofs, pedimented dormers, sunroom, and brick chimney are all inspired by the original house. The cupola, sweeping roof forms, and new Marvin windows are thoughtful additions that complement the architecture while being built with natural, long-lasting materials.
A special thank you to Tom Tolla and his crew at Construction Services Unlimited. The craftsmanship and care they bring to every aspect of the work is evident throughout, from the rooflines to the trim details.
More to come as we begin the barn restoration and move indoors to focus on the custom cabinetry, finishes, and interior details.
