It's the final day of the season here for the retail side of the nursery, and we're going out in style! In addition to the sales that have been running for the last week, we've filled up our odds and ends sale area with a ton of fantastic, one off plants looking for a new home at steep discounts. Have some candy and brunch, enjoy the luxury of that extra hour of sleep last night, and then come out one last time to ring out the 2026 season with us!

Ladies and gentleman, the moment you've been waiting for - we are officially into our steepest sale of the year! From now through November 1st, all perennials, all vines, and all container broadleaf evergreens, as well as select container shrubs and conifers, are 40% off and equally steep deals are scattered through our large specimen material.

The sun is out and temps are coming back up, but prices are continuing to go down as we hurtle towards the end of the retail season here at the nursery. This week all vines, broadleaf evergeens, and perennials, as well as select groups of other plants, have dropped to 30% off and we've added additional sales to both our B+B and large container specimen lists. There's still plenty of time to get your hands dirty and snag some incredibly cool (and incredibly rare) plants that don't normally go on sale at fantastic prices!

It may be October, but we still have new plants becoming available for the first time this year! Many of the new plants are also just now entering their time to shine, with autumn blooms, vivid colors, and winter interest aplenty, and with warm temps and plenty of rain it seems mother nature is gifting us an extended planting season.

Somehow the year has flown by and we're rapidly approaching the end of our season. That's always bittersweet, but the good news for our customers is that our fall sales have officially begun! Starting today, all perennials, broadleaf evergreens, and vines are now 20% off plus additional markdowns of some shrubs and conifers. We've still got lots of specimen plants on sale as well, so whether you're looking to install a whole new garden or just fill a few holes, we have prime material available and perfect planting weather to boot.

Fall is for fruit, and a ton of our shrubs are showing off and showing out. There's way too many to share in a single post, but here's just a few. Drop your own favs in the comments, and see if you can spot the two in her that are in separate genuses but share a distinct family resemblance in the fruit. ;)

Less than 24 hours until the Confluence concert, right here on the lawn at the nursery with the beautiful fall colors of Sleeping Giant in the background! We're so excited, and if you'd like to join us, there's still time to register (on our website under the "events" tab). We're expecting gorgeous weather, beautiful music, and between sets there will be a tour of the grounds for anyone who'd like to go. See you soon! 🎶

The leaves are hitting their peak, there’s a nip in the air in the mornings, and it's been a perfect fall with brilliant colors and just the right amount of warmth for gardening. We've been enjoying the opportunity to get our hands dirty, and if like us you've been soaking up that garden time but noticed a few holes here and there, we have a limited opportunity for you to fill your garden with mature plants for instant impact going into the winter season for unusually low prices! Until 10/18, select B+B and container specimens, including some of the rarest plants we have, are on sale and strutting their stuff. Full details can be found on our specimen lists (here: https://www.brokenarrownursery.com/plant-lists), but we've highlighted a few of our favorites here!

Throwback to this time last year and the amazing evening concert we enjoyed from Confluence, a Celtic and Scandanavian fusion folk group. We're lucky that they've agreed to come back again this year and will be revising this popular event on Thursday 10/8 at 4pm! The weather is shaping up to be perfect, with the amazing fall colors surrounding the nursery as a backdrop. Come join us for what is sure to be the perfect autumn evening - registration is here: https://www.brokenarrownursery.com/catalog/product/view/id/3441/s/october-8th-2026-confluence-ensemble-music-plant-tour-stroll-sunset-thursday-4pm/category/4/
