Got Veggies Too

Got Veggies Too My mission is to bring gardening in your home & coach you with confidence and wisdom to keep growing.

For over 20 years I have been sharing my experience working with my community. I have worked with children, and adults from all over teaching them how to grow and eat healthy food. I have volunteered countless hours with communities in Maryland, and Pennsylvania, including assisting with the founding of Harrisburg Urban Gardeners. While working with my faith community we have developed programming to provide nurturing outreach, educating others to eat healthier. I contributed to writing a curriculum for children with the Food and Faith Project with John Hopkins School of Public Health in addition to planting new garden ideas for the kids and their families.

Want to learn how to grow coneflowers?

Looking for a flower that’s tough, pretty, and pollinator-friendly? Coneflowers (aka Echinacea) are native wildflowers that bring color, charm, and goldfinches to your garden, with barely any fuss.

For example, coneflowers are drought tolerant, although new plants need water occasionally—and more often if the spring season is especially dry.
Native in-ground coneflowers seldom need fertilizer.

They are native to the eastern and central United States, blooming in midsummer and continuing to flower sporadically until frost. Learn more about these native beauties at Almanac.com/plant/coneflowers
