Morning. Hope everyone is staying dry.
With the amount of rain and coastal flooding from this nor’easter, Hudson Valley homeowners may start noticing water stains, bubbling paint, soft or damaged drywall or ceiling damage over the next few days we are avaliable to fix any type off roofs walls basements etc .
One thing I would caution against is simply painting over the damage.
First, make sure the source of the water has been corrected and the area is completely dry. Depending on how wet the drywall became, the repair may be as simple as stain-blocking primer and repainting, or it may require cutting out and replacing damaged drywall.
Also be careful about hiring someone who suddenly appears in the neighborhood because of the storm. Use an established company you can verify and reach after the work is completed.
