Frost is in the forecast this weekend 🥶 which means it’s time for me and the plants to go dormant - but not yet! There are still pick up appointments open today and early tomorrow to snag plants before the cold snap. The inventory on our “Schedule a Pick Up” page has been updated to reflect the selection of plants left with strong roots and decent quantities left, so check out the link here or on our website. Some of these babies desperately need homes! Only 2 Eastern Redbuds left and they hate overwintering in pots. One gorgeous little WitchHazel is looking for its forever home. There’s still a nice little selection of Paw Paw trees of various sizes, and of course grasses and perennial wildflowers are here too! Stop by!

Here’s what’s coming to our last Pop Up of the season this Saturday, October 10th from 10-1. I’d love to find good homes for these lovely little plants so come by and stock up for fall planting! I’ll be bringing a few surprises too - free Common Milkweed seeds for winter sowing while supplies last, more species that are too low in stock to list, plus markdowns on Ugly Plants 👹 (plants that are ugly right now, but have great roots and will come back beautiful next spring). Stop by and see native plants in action in our host Minette’s Certified Backyard Habitat and celebrate the fall season! Bring a box or tote for your plants OR check out our merch and score one of our locally printed 100% cotton logo tote bags. This Saturday, Sept 19th join us at WVU Core Arboretum for the Annual Paw Paw Festival! Rain or shine from 12-5 shop native plants including our selection of Paw Paw trees, plus taste chef made Paw Paw creations, sample Paw Paw fruit varieties, buy fruit, hear presentations, talk to Paw Paw growers - they’ve got it all! Here’s what’s coming to this Saturday’s Pop Up at the corner of North Pacific and Gem Way in the lovely Pittsburgh neighborhood of Garfield! We’ll be there from 10am-1pm rain or shine with our straight species native perennials, trees and shrubs in our host Minette’s amazing Audubon Certified Backyard Habitat! Many of our selections are low in stock so grab your dream plants now before we run out for the season. The grasses are in their prime and perfect for building shelter into pollinator patches, plus I’ve restocked the Pink Milkweed and ferns! Snag an RBN tshirt or tote and share your love of milkweed with the world. Lots of other goodies including some plants with inventory too low to name them on our list so they’ll be a surprise! 🎉First come, first served (or as my dad says, “Grab n’ Growl”).🐯 Please bring a box or tote for your plant babies. No early birds please! 🐦
