🌈The More You Know🌈
Today was watering day 💦at Crafthouse Collective . And as I was watering I was thinking about all that I do to set people up for successful care of their new plants and thought I would share that with you all. 🪴
A few things you may not know about how I care for the plants that I sell. Whether it be at the store or at events
1- I only water ever week to week and a half(this time it was 2 weeks)not all plants need water weekly. Be sure you are checking the soil to see if it’s moist so you don’t over water! 💦💦
2- I fertilize with every watering. I get asked quite a bit what fertilizer I use and the one I use is Superthrive Dynagro Foilage Pro 9-3-6. 💦💦
3- I treat for pests 🪳🐜every time I am in the store. You wouldn’t think they could get in there but they sure can! Whether they come in on peoples clothes or through the vents who knows but it happens. I generally use alcohol spray to spray down the tops and bottoms of the leaves. I also use a liquid systemic when watering called SNS209, this is an all natural systemic pest control option.
4- The lights in my booth and on my shelves at home are Barinna T5 full spectrum grow lights. Since they are away from any natural sunlight these help keep the plants happy and they are able to still go through the photosynthesis to stay alive. 🪴🪴
5- I do my best to set you up for success. I do this by changing the soil on every single plant that I sell to a tried and true option that has worked for me very well over the years. I use the Fox Farm Ocean Forest mix. I make sure the plants are in the correct size pots. And I do my best to be sure every plant has a care label so you know how to care for it.🪴🪴
6- Last but not least, in the back of every care label there is a QR code that takes you to my linktree. If you ever have any issues with your plants, whether you bought them from me or not, I am always open to helping with care tips and advice. 📱💬
I’d truly love to see you at one of my upcoming events around the St. Louis area! 🌿💚 Come say hi, chat plants with me, and maybe find a new leafy friend to take home. It’s always so much fun meeting fellow plant people, and I’d love for you to stop by! 🪴✨
