Two projects, two big improvements!

We started the day at a lake house in Hickory installing 2 pallets of tall fescue sod. We handled the full prep from start to finish, cultivating/tilling the existing soil, grading the area, laying the new sod, and giving everything a thorough initial watering to help get it established.

Then it was over to The Village at Catawba Ridge Apartments to work on a small river rock extension. We didn’t quite get that project wrapped up today, but we made great progress and will be back to put the finishing touches on it.

Whether it’s sod installation, landscape renovations, rock, mulch, or property maintenance, GroundUp Landscaping has you covered.

A fresh start for the bottom of this landscape bed 🌿

Today we gave this property a much-needed landscape cleanup. We removed old perennials, dead shrubs, unwanted weeds and overgrowth, then trimmed and shaped the remaining shrubs to clean everything up.

The beds are now cleared out, and ready for the next phase with new plants and fresh mulch here in the near future.

Small upgrades can make a big difference. 🌿

We gave this mailbox area a simple refresh by cleaning up and expanding the bed, adding low-maintenance evergreen shrubs and ornamental grasses, and finishing it off with fresh mulch.

Nothing overdone, just a clean, simple landscape that adds curb appeal and will look even better as the arborvitae fill in.

Need a small landscape refresh at your home? GroundUp Landscaping can help with everything from mailbox beds and plant installations to complete landscape renovations.

Cleaned up some overgrowth in both beds around the front of this home making it much more neat and less crowded. This client has a beautiful landscape that was being choked out. We removed unwanted weeds, vines, and old growth from existing plants to dress up the front of the place. Despite having a lot of plants, everything looks much more intentional!

Flower/ Mulch install to add some color to the front of this home. We added some lantanas, impatiens, calibrachoa, trailing vinca, and some geraniums. Finished everything off with some black hardwood mulch to give that color some contrast and make everything pop.

Cleared out the back of a large mulch bed and cleaned up the woods line for one of our recurring clients. Over time, the natural area had started creeping into the bed and taking over the back edge of the property.

We removed overgrowth, cleaned up the transition line, and opened the space back up to create a much cleaner, more maintained appearance. The bed now has a fresh start for future plantings while also giving the entire backyard a more polished and intentional look.

Small details like this make a huge difference in the overall appearance and long-term maintenance of a property.
