I ABSOLUTELY had ALL these thoughts several years ago when I met Taylor. First off, I was like what even is tallow (beef fat) and then I was like "Girl why would I put that on my skin? Greeeaaaasyy" 😂 I was wrong. Tallow cleared up my acne and has SAVED my skin in so many ways. I am forever grateful for Taylor and her products.

After spending 10 days at the Covered Bridge Festival
I heard so many of the same questions about our tallow skincare products, so I thought it was time to answer a few of them here!
✨ Will tallow make my skin oily?
This was one of the biggest questions I heard, and the answer is no your skin shouldn’t feel greasy when you use the right amount!
Tallow contains fatty acids that are compatible with our skin’s natural moisture barrier. It helps soften and moisturize your skin without that heavy, greasy layer you might think of with traditional lotions or moisturizers that you can’t read half of the ingredient list! 
The secret is using a LITTLE BIT!
A little goes a long way with our products. 🤎
💄 Can I wear makeup over my tallow moisturizer?
YES! And this is one of my favorite things about it!
Tallow helps keep your skin soft, moisturized, and smooth, giving your makeup a beautiful base to work with. You know those dry patches that seem to show up the second you put on foundation? Properly moisturized skin can help minimize that dry, flaky look and leave you with a smoother, more natural glow!
🐄 How long does a jar of our beef tallow facial moisturizer last?
Our jars can last approximately SIX MONTHS when you’re applying a small amount morning and night! Our tallow moisturizer sticks can last around THREE MONTHS with the same routine.
Remember, you don’t need to slather it on! Especially with our sticks, it’s easy to apply too much. Start with a little, rub it into your skin, and add more only if you need it.
💡 PRO TIP: If your skin still feels greasy after 5–10 minutes, try using less! Your skin should feel soft and moisturized!
🌸 Will tallow make me break out?
This is such a good question, especially if you’ve struggled with acne or sensitive skin! Our tallow facial moisturizer is made with nourishing ingredients chosen to help support your skin’s moisture barrier, soften dry skin, and improve the appearance of skin texture. Because everyone’s skin is different we recommend starting with a small amount and patch-test first!
