None of this was designed to only look good in 2026. That’s why it does.

A wooden board, a salt cellar, a copper pan, a bar of soap on a dish. These were all designed to work, and looking good came out of getting the shape right. Which is why they looked great in 1970 and they’ll look great in 2050.

You can spot it in a house immediately, and never from the big things. Anybody can buy a sofa. It’s the small stuff, the parts nobody thinks to photograph. What’s by the sink. What the spoons live in. Whether anything has been used enough to show it.

Good taste isn’t a budget. It’s paying attention to the parts that are easy to skip.

Two things tie all of these together.
☝🏻Every one of them was made by hand.
✌🏻Every one of them is made from a natural material. Clay, cotton, glass, wood, metal.

That’s what gives a room character. A machine can make ten thousand identical plates, but a potter makes one at a time, and the small differences between them are what people notice at your table. Natural materials do the same thing as they age… that’s what makes them timeless.

Help me clear out my warehouse!!!

Some of you may know that when I first started my small business marketplace a few years ago, I actually began by buying items wholesale from a handful of small vendors and keeping the inventory in a warehouse in Texas.

Since then, we’ve grown to work with over 200 independent makers and small businesses and we’re continuing to expand! As we transition fully to a dropshipping model, I’m working to clear out all of our remaining warehouse inventory…

Which means I’m selling everything AT COST or below!
