🎉 8 YEARS OF AUTUMN LANE! 🎉

Autumn Lane Outdoor Designs is officially 8 years old! 🥂🌿

When I look back over the past eight years, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude for all of the incredible clients, friendships, opportunities, and projects that have brought us to where we are today. Every project has taught us something, challenged us, and given us another opportunity to create something beautiful.

I’m especially grateful to have Nick by my side through it all. ❤️ And I’m so thankful for our amazing architect and project manager, Ivan, who has become such an important part of Autumn Lane Design + Build.

What started eight years ago has grown into so much more than I ever imagined — and we’re just getting started.

We have no plans of slowing down! We’re constantly learning, growing, and pushing ourselves to be better with every project we take on.

Thank you to every client who has trusted us with your home and your vision, and to everyone who has supported Autumn Lane along the way. We truly couldn’t do this without you.

Here’s to 8 years — and many, many more! 🥂🌿🏡

✨ From Restoration to Transformation ✨

Last year, this home went through a major transformation of its own. After extensive mold was discovered, the homeowners completed a full remediation, including replacing all of the flooring and sheetrock throughout the home. We were honored to help with their interior color selections during that process.

Once the interior was restored, they called us back to give the front yard the same fresh start. 🌿

In just about one week, we completely overhauled the landscape, including:

🌿 Chopped stone borders lining the beds
🌸 Encore azaleas for beautiful seasonal color
🌱 Sunshine Ligustrum for vibrant foliage
🌳 Dwarf Yaupon Hollies for structure and evergreen interest
🌳 A beautiful Redbud as a focal point
🪴 Four large containers filled with walking iris and potato vine
🐦 A charming birdbath positioned perfectly outside the front window
💡 Updated and refreshed landscape lighting
🪨 A new rock border along the home
💧 Modified irrigation to support the new landscape

What started as a home needing significant restoration is now a welcoming, beautiful property with a landscape that complements the home and brings new life to the front yard.

We love being able to walk alongside our clients through the entire transformation — from interior updates to landscape design and installation. 🤍

We have some of the most incredible clients—and this project is such a great example of why we love what we do. 🤍

We’re getting ready to begin a large-scale home renovation in the Houston Heights, but before the renovation even gets underway, our clients purchased another home in Garden Oaks to live in during the process. And, of course, they trusted us with that home, too!

We’re giving the Garden Oaks property a complete refresh, including:

🌿 A full landscape redesign and installation
⚡ Electrical repairs and updates
🎨 Interior painting
🪵 A new Trex deck off the back patio
🧱 A brand-new concrete slab for the secondary patio

We love that our work gets to follow our clients from one home to the next. From landscaping and outdoor living spaces to interior improvements and full-scale renovations, Autumn Lane is proud to be the team our clients trust to bring their vision to life.

And this is just the beginning… We can’t wait to take you along as we transform both homes! ✨

🌸☀️ Texas Summer Superstars: Vinca & Pentas ☀️🌸

When the Texas heat is in full force, not every flower can handle the challenge—but Vinca and Pentas thrive in it!

These colorful annuals seem grateful for our long, sunny summers, rewarding us with continuous blooms when many other plants begin to struggle. Vinca loves the heat and drought, while Pentas attract butterflies and pollinators with their vibrant clusters of flowers.

If you’re looking for dependable summer color that can stand up to Texas temperatures, these two are hard to beat. Their resilience, beauty, and low-maintenance nature make them staples in many of our seasonal landscape designs.

🌿 Bright blooms.
🦋 Pollinator-friendly.
☀️ Built for Texas summers.

Sometimes the best plants aren’t just surviving the heat—they’re celebrating it.

Nature has a beautiful way of reminding us that growth often comes after the storm. Today, we’re appreciating the rain and the way it brings our gardens and landscapes back to life. 🌿🌸💧

✨ Royal Oaks Refresh ✨

There’s something special about working in the beautiful Royal Oaks Country Club community. The homes here are timeless, the landscapes are classic, and the people make every project feel like coming back to friends.

This spring, we built a large retaining wall for this home — creating structure, stability, and a strong foundation for the landscape. Today, we returned for a full landscape refresh, bringing new life, fresh color, and seasonal texture back to the property.

A refresh like this is more than new plants… it’s about maintaining the investment, enhancing curb appeal, and keeping the landscape looking as beautiful as the home itself.

We truly love serving this neighborhood and are always grateful when clients invite us back for the next chapter of their outdoor spaces. 🌿

If you’re looking for a tried-and-true Texas landscape favorite, look no further than Mystic Spires Salvia.

This beauty is one of our go-to plants for color, resilience, and effortless charm in the garden.

✨ Why we love it:
• Extremely heat and drought tolerant — perfect for Texas landscapes
• Produces stunning deep blue/purple blooms that pollinators absolutely love
• Freezes in winter but reliably returns each spring stronger than ever
• Long blooming season with vibrant color when many plants fade

Right now, Mystic Spires is the bloomer of the season, bringing movement, color, and life to outdoor spaces. It’s proof that a landscape can be both low-maintenance and breathtaking!

At Autumn Lane, we believe great landscapes start with plants that thrive in our climate — and this one never disappoints.

🌸 Ready to refresh your landscape with plants that work as hard as they look beautiful? Let’s design something timeless together.
