Yβall β¦ I had the opportunity to decorate a holiday tree at the Houston Museum of Natural Science for Houston Hospice, the nonprofit where I work. π
We had so much fun playing elves! It took us nearly four hours β¦ Thank goodness I had help!
We learned of the opportunity mid-day Friday and decorating had to be complete by Monday morning! π± I put out a call on social media for extra ornaments (who knew stores would be out of ornaments on December 2!) and friends and neighbors obliged. π I did have to make a run to the store for most of the red ornaments β¦
Our hallmark color is red and our logo is a heart made of Angel wings. We also have a Butterfly Program for pediatric hospice patients. Luckily, my friend and neighbor Sooze Cisneros came to my rescue and cut out gold hearts and butterflies for our tree. ππ¦
And my friend, Barbara Luna Ballance, offered invaluable insight for which I was so thankful! ππ»
This is one of the best projects Iβve been part of and Iβm so proud of the design and my coworkers who helped make my vision come to life! π₯°
If youβre out and about this holiday season, please stop by the museum and take a pic with our βTree of Hope,Compassion & Careβ (located on the third floor in the Trains Over Texas permanent exhibition area. π
