The right appliance selections start with the right questions.

Are there children in the house? Can they reach their own water and ice? Will someone be lifting hot dishes or liquids from an awkward height? These are the details we talk through with our clients, alongside finishes, features, and the overall kitchen design.

We recently visited AjMadison to explore appliances for a new custom home. Having your interior designer involved from the start brings a practiced eye to the thousands of decisions ahead, keeping the design connected to how your family actually lives.

Building a custom home in Houston? We’d love to be part of the conversation from the beginning. Link in bio.

Classic blue and white with a little golden warmth. Such a fabulous combination.

Thank you, Homes & Gardens, for featuring our work and inviting me to share my approach to decorating with ochre. Here, the chair and ottoman bring warmth and a playful energy to this traditional living room. Sometimes, a little color is all it takes.

Today Simon and I had to say goodbye to our beloved chocolate boy, Blitz Eyles. With his perennially puppy face and energy, we thought he would live forever, but that wasn’t true. We found out just three weeks ago that he had cancer, and like most things in Blitz’s life, it moved at lightning speed.

Blitzer, Bey Bey, Mr. B., Monkey Boy…he had dozens of nicknames, befitting a dog who had so many quirks to his personality. Our BARC rescue dog was adorable and loving and incredibly complicated. He never met a human he didn’t like, but if you had four legs, maybe not so much.

He took his work to heart and was the ultimate shop dog, respectfully greeting every visitor to our design office before retreating to his bed for a snooze. He took his off time equally seriously–playing, swimming, or going for adventures with razor sharp focus and intensity, and at mealtimes he showed his enthusiasm by leaping 4 or 5 feet straight in the air from a standing position.

Blitz was deeply loyal to the people and things he loved, and he was loved fiercely in return. The world without him in it will be a far less interesting place.

He was a whole lot of dog, and he was too, so woof it.

Leash on the hook, boots by the bench, and a pop of red that ties it all together. This hardworking corner just off the kitchen gives every sneaker and tennis ball a place to land, while warm wood cabinetry keeps the rest tucked neatly away.

Anyone up for a walk? Swipe to meet the (unofficial) head of household, patiently waiting for the magic word... 🐕

Strong opinions, split votes, and a cameo from Blitz.

Linda, Italia, and Nicole are back for Love It or Leave It, October style. On the list: zellige tile, snake motifs, animal print, drapery, and Halloween decorations.

Watch along and tell us what you’re loving or leaving!

Black, white and anything but basic.

Graphic hexagon floors ground this primary bath while warm wood, marble and polished details soften the contrast. It’s clean and bright, but there’s still plenty happening if you look a little closer.

Anyone else tempted to hit snooze this morning?

Inspired by the serenity of nature and layered with plenty of personality, this primary bedroom mixes an antique tapestry with playful koi-patterned pillows from Kravet and a beautifully collected mix of old and new.

Exactly the kind of room that makes getting out of bed a hard sell.

A good entry says hello before anyone else does.

This one offers the first glimpse of the personality found throughout the home, with a mix of color, pattern and pieces that immediately make things interesting.

Consider it the opening line to the rest of the story.

Terrazzo, with a fresh perspective.

We welcomed concrete collaborative to the office for a little material inspiration. Their mix of color, texture and pattern already has a place in our portfolio, including a fabulous outdoor shower.

A little luxury, al fresco. Would you add an outdoor shower to your wish list?
