🖤 This one started as a wood fence. The HOA said no.

This property is on a canal off Lake Houston, and the HOA would only approve metal. We went back out, checked the surrounding fences, and matched what was around the property. The result is a 4 ft black rackable panel fence, two-rail with decorative finials. The panels are rackable, so they follow the grade of the yard without stepping.

The owner lives out of state and is renting the house out, so we handled everything on his end.

This customer’s top priority was keeping their small dogs in, so we kept the fence tight to the ground. The panels are rackable, so we followed the grade during install and left minimal gap underneath!

We did the rest of the yard too. This customer has also hired us to build a covered patio on their house, which is about the best compliment we can get.

🌊 Repeat client, Lake Houston, and a much bigger build than the first one.

We took this roughly 1,200 sq ft pier/deck down to the pilings and rebuilt everything above them with new pressure-treated pine. The pilings were still in good shape, so we reused them instead of starting from scratch. We built a smaller deck for this same client a while back, so it was great to be trusted with the bigger project.

Any gate or door that serves as an exit in a commercial building in Houston is required to have one to comply with fire code. Stay in code!

🔨What started as a covered patio turned into something much more.

We demoed existing brick on the back wall, replaced it with HardieSiding, swapped out a single door for double French doors, and replaced the small windows with larger ones.

21x23 covered patio attached to the house — pine structure throughout. This is mid-build. Finished product coming soon. This is in the north east Houston area.

Inside the city of Houston — no permit required for fences under 8 feet. But every surrounding municipality is different. Humble, Kingwood, Pearland, Atascocita — they all have their own rules. And here's what trips most people up: a city permit and HOA approval are two completely different things. Even if your city doesn't require a permit your HOA might still require approval. Check both before anything goes in the ground.

10x14 freestanding cedar pergola we earlier year. Natural cedar — no stain, no paint. Just let the wood do what it does. These age beautifully over time and hold up well in the Houston climate when built right!

👀9 foot tall horizontal cedar fence stained in Behr Walnut - residential install in Houston.

The horizontal layout already sets it apart from a standard privacy fence but at 9 feet it makes a statement.

The stain ties the whole thing together perfectly. This is what happens when a homeowner has a vision and goes for it!

😀👍This customer upgraded to 4x4 galvanized metal posts on their wood gate!

Metal posts on a wood gate are always the better option when the budget allows. Stronger, more stable, and they won't rot or warp over time like wood posts will.

Not every customer goes this route but the ones who do never regret it.
