Did you know leaving your perennials up this fall can benefit your garden? 🌱

As perennial plant material breaks down, it returns organic matter to the soil and provides habitat for beneficial insects that help keep your garden thriving.

Think of it as a tiny hotel for all the helpful insects doing important work in your garden! 🐞

Sometimes, the best thing you can do for your garden this fall is a little less cleanup. 😉

One thing NOT to do with your plants this fall…

✂️ Put the pruning shears away! Pruning stimulates new growth, and the last thing you want is for your plants to put out fresh growth right before frost hits.

So when should you prune? 🌱 For many perennials, late winter or early spring is the perfect time, just as new growth begins to emerge. Waiting until then gives your plants time to rest through winter and lets you remove old growth to make room for healthy new growth!

For now, put the pruning shears away and enjoy a well-earned break. Your garden can wait. 😉🌿

Our Harvest Festival brought together everything we love about the season: fresh-pressed c***r, pumpkins, flowers, local vendors, and time spent with our wonderful Cache Valley community. 🎃🌻
