Metro has absolutely stunning 4/4 Olive wood slabs for $20.99 per board foot!!! From live edge cutting boards and charcuterie boards to benches to boxes, these slabs can be used in a wide variety of applications.

Olive wood features creamy yellow or golden sapwood sharply or gradually contrasting with nutty-brown, tan, or reddish-brown heartwood interlaced with dark brown, gray, or black streaks.

It is a relatively dense wood measuring in at 2710 on the Janka scale, so sharp tools and shallow passes on the planer are essential. Olive wood is a joy to work with and has a distinct, fruity scent when being worked.

Because of the fruit’s economic importance, healthy, cultivated olive trees typically aren’t felled for lumber. Availability is generally limited to pruned branches, trimmings, and diseased/storm damaged orchard trees. Short lumber, natural-edged slabs, turning squares, and burls are occasionally available, often from wild trees.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ CLEARANCE SALE ⭐️⭐️⭐️

5/4 Cambia Ash $5.99 per BF
We have approximately 175 BF of 5/4 S2S to 1-1/8” and straight line ripped Cambia Ash available at clearance price.

What is Cambia Ash?

It is thermally modified ash, treated with high heat and steam (typically 400°F to 450°F) in a chemical-free kiln to permanently alter its cellular structure.

What are the benefits?

Durability: The process removes natural sugars and moisture, making the wood resistant to rot, decay, and insects for up to 25 years.

Stability: It shrinks, swells, and warps significantly less than standard kiln-dried ash, making it ideal for outdoor weather exposure.

Color: The treatment turns the pale wood into a rich, deep chocolate-brown tone. If left unsealed outdoors, it naturally ages into a silver-gray patina.

Comfort: Unlike synthetic or composite materials, thermally modified wood stays cooler under direct sunlight.

Eco-Friendly: No toxic chemicals or heavy preservatives are used during the modification process.
