Transitional Housing for Women & Children that are caught in the crossfire of a domestic violence crisis is essential. It must be designed so that a family that is on the run from an abuser can be discretely safe. As a youngster, I have experienced this situation and now that I am an Architect, I know that I could design an effective solution to shield a Woman & her Children while they are on the run from an abuser.

Everyone must feel safe every day wherever they are, including inside their homes. Domestic violence is a horrific crime that inflicts physical and psychological harm on victims. We need to support survivors so everyone lives their life free from fear and abuse.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month in North Carolina. By working together, we can build a culture where intimate partner violence is not tolerated.

Chinese engineers have switched on the world’s first underwater data center powered by offshore wind, off the coast of Shanghai in the Lin-hang Special Area.

The facility has 192 server racks across four levels, uses seawater for cooling instead of freshwater, and its copper-pipe heat exchange system reportedly cuts electricity use by 22.8%. Offshore wind is expected to supply 95% of its power.

It now runs at 2.3 MW, with planned capacity of 24 MW.
