Happy Tip Tuesday, everyone! 🛠️✨

Before the winter freeze sets in, here’s a quick and simple maintenance task that can save you big money on costly pipe repairs: disconnecting and draining your outdoor garden hose.

Here is Perry’s step-by-step tip to keep your plumbing safe:

Disconnect the hose: Unscrew your garden hose from the outdoor spigot completely.

Use gravity: Lift one end of the hose and walk down its length to let gravity drain out all the trapped water onto your lawn.

Store it right: Coil the drained hose and store it indoors or in a shed so it stays protected all season long!

Leaving a hose attached during winter can trap water inside your spigot, leading to frozen and burst pipes inside your walls. Taking two minutes today saves a major headache tomorrow!
