NOW HIRING — Journeyman Low Voltage Technician | Jesup, GA | $25–$30/hr DOE
Kelv Communications is adding an experienced low voltage technician to our team.
We're a commercial and residential integrator and an Authorized AT&T Dealer serving
a 75-mile radius across Southeast Georgia — Jesup, Brunswick, Hinesville, Waycross,
Statesboro, Savannah and the communities between.
This is a journeyman-level seat.
You'll run and terminate cable, install and
commission camera and access control systems, and be trusted on a customer's site
without a supervisor standing behind you.
What you'll be doing:
• Structured cabling — Cat5e/Cat6/6A pulls, terminations, patch panels, testing and certification
• Fiber termination, splicing and testing
• IP camera and NVR installation, aiming and commissioning
• Access control — readers, strikes, maglocks, door position hardware
• Network basics — switch mounting, patching, IP addressing, clean labeling and documentation
• Reading prints, riser diagrams and floor plans, and laying out a job from them
• Commercial new construction, tenant improvement and retrofit work, plus residential installs
What we're looking for
• Work that meets TIA/EIA-568 standards and NEC limited-energy requirements
(Articles 725, 770 and 800) — we don't cut corners on separation, support or firestopping
• Comfortable on ladders and lifts, in attics and crawlspaces, and able to lift 50 lbs
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
• Show up on time, communicate with the customer, and leave the site cleaner than you found it
Pay:
$25–$30 per hour depending on experience and certifications. We pay for skill — bring
documented experience and it will be reflected in the offer.
