Meet our new summer crew! ☀️

We’re excited to have two new employees joining us for the summer while they’re out of school! They’ll be spending their break learning the ropes, working hard, and helping us keep things moving! We’re glad to have some young, local help on the team and appreciate their willingness to work hard and learn something new. If you see them around, be sure to say hi and welcome them to John Day Hardware!

Welcome to the team Kaitlyn and Morgan!

Meet John Greenwood Jr.! He grew up in Sweet Home and St. Helens, but knew Grant County was where he wanted to be. After years of spending summers here with both his and his wife Nicole’s families, he finally made the move in January 2025- and officially joined the store on his birthday, June 10th.

He and his wife are raising their 16 year old Gunner, right here in the community they’ve always loved.

When he’s off the clock, you’ll likely find him in the woods, riding ATV’s, hunting and fishing.

We love John’s willingness to tackle any task that comes his way. Come in and say hi next time you visit us!

Meet Andy!

Born and raised in Milll City Oregon, Andy and his wife Marcia moved the Grant County in 2018 to be closer to his father’s roots. Andy has been a loyal customer and friend of John Day Hardware for a while when timing and opportunity lined up, he officially joined our team back in May, and has quickly become a great resource. So far, he’s loving the camaraderie and positive energy at the store.

When he’s off the clock, you’ll probably find Andy with a woodworking project or playing his kazoo in the park.

We’re excited to have you on the team, Andy!!
