Real time soldering snippets using the holy grail of soldering irons, a American Hakko Products FX601 at 410°. A tool and setting I suspect a lot of glass artist would call their "comfort zone", I know I do.
Soldering is so satisfying, watching the lines solidify in front of your eyes. Besides design/glass choice it is my favorite step in the stained glass process. Trying to get it right on pass 1 - sometimes taking a re-flux & 2nd or 3rd pass. Always aiming for a balance of quality & efficiency, but I suppose that applies to every facet of life.
I promise to really show it off tomorrow but sneak refraction peek at the end 😉
