If you use venmo please be careful of scammers! Stylist friend just had a new client contact her online and "paid" her venmo account for a future appointment which supposedly got her account locked because his payment was from a business account. The email she got from "venmo" gave a fake number to call and the "supervisor" was telling her she needed to pay $500 to get her account unfrozen.

(855) 812-4430 is the actual Venmo help contact number. There is an obnoxiously long screening menu, but glad she was able to wade through it and get legit help.

The real Venmo help desk had her report the scam and they also verified her account is working.
