- They arrive in an unmarked vehicle and can’t clearly identify themselves or the business they represent.
- They avoid questions about pricing, service-call fees, or other charges—or won’t give you an estimate before starting.

Some locksmiths are mobile-only, and an unmarked vehicle by itself doesn’t tell you everything. Still, you should be able to verify the business, know who is coming, and understand the price before work begins.
