Destin4 Interiors Dorene Mangels, Interior Designer + Founder of Destin4 Interiors LLC My natural gift for color & design was realized during the 80's by my dad.

The time has come for me to step out of the comforts of working for others and do this for me! "I'm in this to make a living-not a killing" I believe all spaces could benefit from a well thought out plan. For those who don't already know me, I am Dorene Mangels aka "the Crafting Sweetie" a 2009 Interior Design Graduate of Berkeley College. When at a young age I'd shown interest in his Custom Drapery Business, "Designs by Dean". He encouraged me to tag along for any design and installation processes which fed my passion & creativity to pursue my talents in Interior Design.

Permits and standards exist for safety of you and your community. While you can design outside the box it’s still has to contain structural integrity.

Don’t leave behind overwhelming amounts of stuff.

So eloquently stated play to the end and another goodie: “Don’t agonize-Organize”. But first purge what you don’t currently and really use (daily, weekly, monthly)

Chose colors based on what you’re keeping. DO NOT PAINT WITHOUT A PLAN. If you can’t see the undertone hire an interior designer or simply place the paint chip on a piece of plain copy paper. Going with a white that picks up a hint of the surrounding color is key. If you are going neutral on the walls and they have the hint of color use the purest white you can and I’ve found that to be Ultra white by Behr found at Home Depot.

Good Luck and feel free to PM if you need help.

Great tips that I’ve shared with clients as someone with a natural eye for color and a degree in Interior Design. Color Forcast, color Marketing background with Benjamin Moore the white board for those who can’t see what I see for undertones blows peoples mind when you show them. Trust the experts, we know you can waste your time painting so neatly but the wrong color choice will still look like 💩
