**MYTH:** A properly paved driveway or parking lot should be completely flat.

**FACT:** Asphalt surfaces often need a slight slope to help water drain properly.

Without adequate drainage, water can collect on the pavement and contribute to damage over time. Proper grading helps direct water away from areas where it could cause problems.
