They wanted more time in Vermont. And a home where their children and grandchildren would want to spend more time, too.

We recently completed this custom designed mountain home for a couple beginning their next chapter, with room for the whole family to be part of it.

Two kitchens for a love of baking and feeding a full house. Space for guests to settle in and stay a little longer. Natural light and mountain views to enjoy when the house is quiet again.

Outside, peaceful dirt roads and fresh mountain air. Inside, a place to gather for years to come.

Over a year and a half ago our founder/lead designer, Patrick Hudson, walked this meadow in Rochester with the landowners. "Do you think we can build here?" they asked. No question, Patrick immediately had a vision. Last night's text from him, excitedly sharing this evening photo: "Heck yeah! My vision came to life! Its just like I pictured!". Needless to say, the owners are thrilled, and after years of building homes, Pat is as inspired as ever. Let's build together!

At the heart of our most premium builds, the Modern Mountain Craft home, is the timber frame, a long standing tradition in Vermont. These frames define the architecture and aesthetic in a timeless way.

Open spaces, lots of light, and connection to the landscape. It's a perfect framework (pun intended 😝) for a mountain side walk-out home.
