Here is a pantry I just finished working on! Originally this double sided pantry was being used for half pantry, half cleaning supplies. It was very full on the pantry side, and there were overflow snacks and pantry items that didn’t fit and were being stored in various places around the kitchen. Thankfully, with permission, I was able to move the cleaning supplies downstairs into a new dedicated cabinet and we were able to reclaim the second side of this pantry for food storage. This gave the pantry much needed breathing space and I was easily able to fit all the food inside. I dedicated the left half to dry goods, canned goods, and drinks, and then the right side was available to store all the snacks and grocery bags. I was able to reuse most of their existing bins and add to it with a few new ones to finish out the space. Whenever I can move similar items into one space, I always try to do so, because it makes it so much easier for everyone in the house to find things on their own! 🍿🍪🥫🍝🥣🥤

Another super hardworking space! This is a dining room desk area that was serving many functions for my clients: medicine cabinet, office supplies, electronics, tools, kid art supplies, pool testing materials, batteries, flashlights, you name it! I know I’ve said this before, but I like to call these utility drawers more than junk drawers, because they really do serve a daily function to my families! They are just famously difficult to categorize and contain. I’m going to be honest, this one was even hard at first for me. There were some containers I thought would work that didn’t, and I had to rethink my design a few times to get it right, but I think this desk area will work really well for this family now. We just needed a lot of thoughtful containers that not only fit the spaces well, but also that gave all the small things in this desk a place to live.

Just finished a hardworking bar area for a sweet, busy family! Sometimes with little ones, a space that a builder meant for adult use can take on other uses. In this case, it was serving as both a party supply/linen cabinet, and a morning hair station for a busy family with three little ones, plus a little extra diaper wipe storage for good measure😉 I love thinking outside the box for furniture and cabinet use; in the end what matters most is that a space works for the family currently living in it. Spaces naturally evolve over time, and it’s great to consider all the ways they can work for you and your family during different eras of life. Some thinning out and some smart containment went a long way for this project!🎀🥳👶🏼

You know all the typical “junk drawer” stuff? Cords, plug adapters, batteries, headphones, flashlights, etc? These are items that people need, but are often the hardest to store. I don’t love the term junk drawer, because it’s not necessarily junk. It’s useful stuff, just hard to categorize. My clients have a credenza in their living room that they decided to utilize for exactly this purpose. It was a fantastic idea, and took the pressure off the kitchen drawers that they were previously using. They just needed a little help adding some organizers and containers to help subdivide the larger drawers. A fun, quick project that made a big difference for items that are reached for on a daily basis. 🔋🎮🛜🔦

My clients decided to covert this cabinet in their mudroom into the pantry they actually really needed! After trying it out for a little while, they decided to order the top shelves to complete the task and make the top cabinet more functional. However, it is such a deep cabinet, they asked for my help making it work a little better and find some organizational products that would make accessing the items in the back easier. Deep cabinets are always tricky, but thankfully I was able to find some 20 inch deep bins, both a wide and a narrow version, along with a 20 inch wide turntable for heavier bottles on the bottom shelf. It’s really important not to overload bins with heavy jars, but especially so when you are dealing with such a deep space. You don’t want the bins to be too heavy to pull out and access, but you also don’t want to put bins in that are so shallow that they get lost in the back of the cabinet. I also added some ventilated bins on the bottom shelf for potatoes and onions, using a stackable system that helped utilize the height of the bottom shelf. I think this space will really work well now for this busy family, and it gives them plenty of room to keep extra backstock items up at the top of the cabinet until they are needed:) 🥫🍪🥨🍿🍞🥔🧅🫙🎉

I was happy to help this family reset their little ones’ closets before the next school year starts. It’s a great time to pull out sizes your kiddos don’t fit in anymore and pull out the next season’s clothes. It’s a task I’m happy to help with and take off your back to school to do list! 👕👖📚

My mom is so generous to host my family and I each summer in Southern California, so when we arrived and she mentioned she had a problem in her closet she needed help with, I was happy to jump in. Then I opened the door and saw that a whole rod had broken! So we pulled everything out, took out the old system, patched and painted the walls, and installed a new Elfa Closet system that is much sturdier and will last and last. It was also a great opportunity to remove some clothes she was no longer wearing, organize her clothes by color to make getting dressed and packing for her business trips easier, switch out wire hangers for velvet ones (I can hear Mommy Dearest in my head as I write this!), and added some bins across the top to contain and protect her purses and handbags. I’m so glad I could help, as it felt like the least I could do for all she does for us:) 💓👚👗👖👜👛

Here are two hardworking linen closets that I recently worked on:) Having nice deep closets meant that some things were getting lost in the back, so I added in some longer bins to help contain smaller items like sheets and towels. In addition, I used some compression bags to both protect and reduce the volume of pillows, blankets, and extra sheets so they would fit on the shelves more easily. Next, I added in some floor baskets to contain and protect some larger blankets and quilts. Finally, we were able to move some out of season duvets and holiday sheets to a protected storage area to give the things they use on a daily basis some breathing room. 😊

I recently helped a client of mine with several small projects around her house, including a laundry room, cleaning closet, and her pantry spaces. She had lots of great organizing bins already to work with, so we just added a few extras to pull it all together! 🧹🧺🥫
