🔑 LOCKSMITH TIP OF THE DAY! 🔑

Well, good morning, everyone! This is Nicky Foster coming at you with Klamath Basin Lock & Security, LLC, with your Locksmith Tip of the Day!

🚗🔋 Today, we’re talking about changing the batteries in your vehicle’s remote controls and key fobs!

Follow along with this video, and I’ll show you two examples to help you out!

First, we have a 2016 Honda CR-V, which has an emergency key tucked inside the key fob. Then, we’ll take a look at a 2016 Chevy Tahoe and show you how to change the battery in its key fob, too!

Sometimes, all your remote needs is a fresh battery to get it working properly again. Hopefully, this video helps you save a little time and gives you the confidence to tackle this simple task yourself!

🔑 GOOD MORNING, KLAMATH BASIN! 🔑

Good morning, everyone! This is Nicky Foster coming at you with Klamath Basin Lock & Security with your Locksmith Tip of the Day!

🏡 Today’s tip: Don’t forget to check your deadbolts!

Did you know that even if you have a deadbolt on your door, it won’t do you much good if you aren’t using it? Make it a habit to lock your deadbolt every time you leave home, even if you’re only running to the store for a few minutes!

And here’s another little reminder: Check that your door closes properly and that your deadbolt slides smoothly into the door frame. If you have to jiggle, push, or pull your door to get the lock to work, it might be time to have that lock or door checked out.

🔐 Remember, folks, a little prevention today can save you a big headache tomorrow!

🔑 LOCKSMITH TIP OF THE DAY! 🔑

Hey, everybody! This is Nicky Foster, coming at you with Klamath Basin Lock & Security, LLC, with your Locksmith Tip of the Day!

🌟 Today’s tip: Don’t ignore a sticky lock!

Have you ever had to jiggle your key, push on the door, or wiggle the handle just to get your lock to work? Well, don’t ignore those warning signs!

Your lock could be telling you that the door is misaligned, the hardware is wearing out, or the lock needs attention. Forcing your key can cause it to bend or break off inside the lock, turning a small problem into a bigger headache!

🔑 My advice? Have that lock checked before it leaves you locked out! And remember, never force your key if it’s not turning properly.

We all want to have a backup plan in case we get locked out of our homes. But hiding a key under your doormat, under a flowerpot, or above your doorframe, isn’t as safe as you might think! 🔐 These are some of the first places someone might look.

✅ Here’s what I recommend:

* Give a spare key to a trusted family member or friend.
* Consider a secure, properly installed lockbox.
* If you use an access control lock, choose a strong, unique access code and change it when necessary.

Remember, folks, a little prevention today can save you a big headache tomorrow!

If you’ve lost all the keys to your vehicle, e-bike, or another electronic locking system, we need to verify ownership before we can begin work or make you a working key.

You must provide valid identification and proof of ownership or registration, as applicable, showing that the vehicle or e-bike belongs to you. This protects you, protects us, and helps ensure we’re doing the job properly and responsibly. We appreciate your understanding!

🔑 Monday–Thursday: Residential and commercial service calls, including rekeying and hardware replacement, by appointment.

🚗 Fridays: key cutting and automotive programming, by appointment.
